	I just found this nifty photo sitting on the server and had to share. The "effect" was a result of my fast zoom action; the shutter tripped in mid-zoom! Boyce, VA. July 4, 2005
	This shot had a similarly unexpected result. Looking closely you'll notice that the locomotive's surroundings are blurred -- yes, the shutter tripped while I was panning the camera to watch the action. Boyce, VA. December 17, 2005

A short while after this photo was taken we heard a rather interesting bit over the radio. The crew shut this locomotive down because a traction motor tripped a circuit breaker. Upon investigation the engineer found "a pretty good flame right under my seat". They put the fire out then continued on with another locomotive in the lead.

April trip to Texas:

The old Katy Lift bridge over the Missouri River was taken out of service by the Union Pacific which now operates the line. Well, UP wants to use the structure elsewhere so has decided to dismantle the bridge. I decided to photograph it while I still can.
