The saying goes "if I had a nickle for every..." I think that applies to everyone who's visited this spot.

Q296 Eastbound at 11:57am

12:22pm -- The S-curve makes shots of Westbounds a bit more interesting, but still "when you've shot one..." At least this train had more interesting power in the lead.

Another variation on the eastbound shot...

415 Eastbound at 12:31 pm

1:52pm -- Yet another variation on the Eastbound shot is to compress it with a longer focal length -- I should've framed it better with the signals here. Of course when it gets closer it agains present the classicly over-shot "round the curve, under the NS bridge" angle.

Around 2pm we missed a Southbound overhead on the NS, but that shot's not a good one anyway. Then that train went into the Shenandoah Junction siding so I shifted South a bit to catch this guy holding the main.

38Q Northbound at 2:08pm

I left to catch a bite to eat and heard a Northbound coming on the NS. I drove up to the Antietam Station and caught a scene that reminds me a lot of the line I grew up along in North Texas. A few more trees here though.

Back at the Junction another Westbound rounded the curve at 4:46pm

Amtrak PO29 was next through the curve at 5:14pm

12R was due Northbound on the NS and 203 was coming South. The meet was lined up again for the siding here so I headed down to the crossing to watch that.

12R Northbound at 5:30pm

At 5:50pm 203 appeared from the North and passed the colorful, new grafitti on the signal box.
The head ends passed at about 5:51pm and not long after, 12R smoked its way on North.
