KATY In The Garage
MKT U23B
A night shot (of course it was always dark in that place) records a rare appearance by one of Katy's four "U-boats" on the Southwest corner of our layout in my parents garage.

MKT GP7
The second unit in the consist is GP7 #121. If I remember right, it (I'm refering to the full-size versions) and a few of it's sisters (#120-123) were originally intended for passenger service. They had a steam generator in the short hood and I believe that's why the air brake reservoirs were moved to the top of the hood. That presented my brother Robert (I modeled the Rock Island) with a minor detailing challenge.
