While standing on Curtis Ridge trying to make a decision about the Liberty Ridge route John and I witnessed this awesome sight. I'd seen some big avalanches in the Himalayas and this one definitely equaled those. Sounding like thunder or artillery fire these big ones are really a thrilling thing to observe (from a safe distance).
